Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Zerago Cleaning Services ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit our website, ask for a quote, book a clean, use our customer portal or apply for a job. We are the controller of this information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

Enquiries and quotes: your name, email address, phone number, the property address, details about the property and the clean you need, and any access notes you give us (for example key safe or parking instructions).
Bookings and payments: your bookings, quotes, invoices, receipts and the payment receipts you upload. We do not take or store card details — payment is by bank transfer.
Job records: checklists, timestamped before and after photos of the property, inspection results and any issues reported during the clean.
Job applications: your CV, contact details, interview notes and, if we offer you a role, your right-to-work and other documents.
Website use: the page you arrived on, the website that referred you and campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), recorded with your enquiry; and cookies — see below.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and carry out the cleaning you book (performing a contract with you, or taking steps at your request before one).
To invoice, keep accounts and meet our legal and tax obligations (legal obligation).
To check our work, handle complaints and arrange free rework (legitimate interests).
To assess job applications and check the right to work in the UK (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
To understand which adverts and pages bring enquiries (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

Who can see it

Only the people who need it. Your full address and access details are visible to the supervisor cleaner on your job, not to every cleaner. We use trusted service providers to run our business — website hosting, email delivery and payroll — who may only use the information to provide their service to us. We share information with authorities only where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Quotes, invoices, payments and other financial records: six years, as tax law requires.
Job records and photos: for as long as needed to deal with questions about the work, and no longer than six years after the job.
Applications from people we do not hire: two years after the decision, then deleted.
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: until they are no longer needed to answer you, then archived or deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask us to move it to another provider. Contact us using the details above — we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

We use cookies that the website needs to work (for example to keep you signed in to the portal and to protect forms). Our reviews section shows Google reviews through a widget provided by Elfsight, which may set its own cookies. You can accept or decline optional cookies in the cookie banner and clear cookies in your browser at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
